Kimberlee Martin was driving home to Portland from Tillamook on July 25, 2013, when she was hit head-on by an oncoming vehicle. A young man inexplicably veered across the center line and Martin had no way of avoiding him.
“I felt like I had been hit by a truck,” Martin said about her injuries following the crash. No bones were broken but the impact caused a ruptured ligament in her left foot, as well as bruises and pain throughout her body. The pain is still with her. She had to explain to her three small children she couldn’t pick them up and could no longer rough house with them.
When she met Greg Zeuthen, she immediately felt she was in good hands. “My relationship with Greg didn’t feel at all like he was my attorney. He did everything in a professional manner, but he sat me down and said, ‘I want to give you advice as if I was your dad.’”
Martin added Zeuthen kept her informed every step of the way through the legal process. When she had a question and he wasn’t available, his legal assistant Rachel Kacalek would take care of her. “Communication-wise, it was great,” Martin recalled. “They made sure I understood everything. It was prompt. If I called, one of them would call me back the same day.”
Zeuthen explained the legal process to her. They talked about offers and demands in a back-and-forth with the other side. Eventually, the case settled. Martin was able to pay off her debts and enroll in school to become a veterinarian. She’s happy and appreciative of the work Zeuthen and his staff did for her.
